Hiram's James Zammikiel works as technical director with Kaboom Studio Orchestra
Hiram, OH (08/21/2025) — James Zammikiel, M.A., technical director for the Hiram theatre department, has over 25 years of experience in the theatre and live entertainment industry.
Recently, Zammikiel served as the technical director for a project collaboration between Michael Bradford and the Kaboom Studio Orchestra.
Kaboom Studio Orchestra is a next gen organization bringing together performers and creatives from high school aged students to life-long performers. Kaboom looks to collaborate and perform with purpose, giving all members a say in the process.
Performed at Cleveland Scoring, the production was done in one take and live recorded. "Michael Bradford, known for his work with Madonna, Deep Purple, and Uncle Kracker, joined forces with Kaboom Studio Orchestra and conductor Liza Grossman to bend genre and expectation. Together, they built something raw and cinematic, on the fly, with cameras rolling and the audience inside the process," according to Kaboom Studio Orchestra.
The idea behind the live performance was to invite audiences into a new experience that only happens once. Zammikiel was responsible for overseeing a smooth execution of the show, managing a team in charge of lighting, sound, and special effects during the performance.
